Garden Sign
Planning: SFPUC Pipelines
Implementation: (Draft) MOU with Local Nonprofit
Despite community support, strong agency interest, strong potential funding from Fremont Bank and plants cultivated and donated from the San Francisco Bay Area Wildlife Refuge's Plant Nursery, Ash Street Native Plant Garden on a San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) parcel and related MOUs was one of the few capital projects that did not come to fruition, though it was the Board's vision of a community garden in an existing neighborhood park in need of TLC. However, the consolation prize for volunteers was a native plant garden at Schilling Elementary School.
