Giving Time

Outside of my profession as a Technical Writer, I’m a volunteer (a giver) as volunteerism is a value I bring to my community. As an unpaid volunteer with the Newark Parks Foundation, the following articles reflect my commitment to appeal to my community’s sensibilities, thriftiness, and neighborhood pride for the benefit of investments in public parks.

Results

With a pragmatic view that investments cannot be made without money, the articles don’t shy away from research, analysis, and political conflict. And, it is with great relief that our toil and sacrifice brought results, including 1.2M in public revenue and two parks—skatepark and dog park.
